Testing & Quality Policy
At Imperial Peptides UK, our quality monitoring programme combines independent analytical testing, transparent reporting and defined internal assessment criteria.
We publish Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) so researchers can review the analytical results obtained from samples submitted for testing and understand the scope of our quality monitoring.
Independent Third-Party Testing
Selected stock samples undergo analysis by an independent third-party laboratory as part of our ongoing supplier quality monitoring. This testing is separate from our manufacturing partners’ own quality controls and informs our assessment of supplier quality.
Depending on the product and testing programme, analysis may include:
- Identity confirmation
- Chromatographic purity
- Peptide content or quantity
- Heavy metals testing
- Endotoxin testing
The relevant report identifies the tests performed and the results obtained. Not every sample undergoes every test listed above.
Internal Test References
An Internal Test Reference (ITR) links submitted samples to their associated analytical report(s). This reference may appear under the “Batch” heading on laboratory reports.
An ITR may be referenced across multiple stock deliveries. It is not a manufacturing batch identifier and does not confirm that supplied stock and analysed samples originate from the same production lot.
Published results relate solely to the samples submitted. Subsequent stock replenishments are not necessarily subject to separate independent testing.
Our Purity Standard
Our minimum acceptance criterion for chromatographic purity is ≥98% for samples assessed under our testing programme.
Samples analysed under this programme typically return ≥99% purity. This describes the results obtained from tested samples and does not establish an exact purity value for every vial supplied.
Chromatographic purity and peptide content are different measurements. A purity percentage does not, by itself, establish the quantity of peptide present in a vial.
Understanding Analytical Results
Peptides are produced through multi-stage synthesis and purification processes. Differences between production batches can occur.
Analytical results reflect the specific sample submitted and are subject to measurement variability. Purity percentages may therefore vary between samples, including those from the same manufacturing batch.
Results should be interpreted in the context of the analytical method, tests performed and any comments or limitations stated by the laboratory. Different tests assess different characteristics; a result for one characteristic does not establish conformity for characteristics that were not tested.
Assessment of Test Results
Results are reviewed against the internal acceptance criteria applicable to the product and testing programme.
A result below an applicable criterion triggers a review of the associated stock and supplier. This review considers whether stock should be withheld from sale, further testing is required or other corrective action is appropriate.
Acceptance of a tested sample informs our supplier quality assessment; it does not constitute separate analytical verification of every vial or subsequent delivery.
Certificates of Analysis
Our published CoAs document the laboratory’s findings for the samples submitted. Depending on the report and tests commissioned, they may include:
- Product or sample identification
- Internal Test Reference or submitted sample reference
- Analytical tests performed
- Measured chromatographic purity, where tested
- Measured peptide content or quantity, where tested
- Other analytical findings, where tested
- Date of analysis
- Laboratory verification information
We publish laboratory reports as provided and do not alter or round their results to match general website claims.
For measured analytical results, refer to the report associated with the relevant ITR. Reports should be read in full, including the sample identification, dates, laboratory comments and stated limitations.

Ongoing Supplier Quality Monitoring
Independent testing is conducted periodically to inform our assessment of supplier quality over time. A published report records findings for the samples analysed; its date does not establish ongoing verification of all stock received thereafter.
Where recurring variation, an unexpected result or a quality concern is identified, we review the available information with the relevant manufacturing or testing partners and assess whether further investigation, testing or stock action is required.
Research Use Only
Imperial Peptides UK products are supplied strictly for research use only and are not intended for human or veterinary administration.
The analytical testing and quality criteria described in this policy concern the characterisation of research materials. They do not establish suitability for clinical use, human consumption or therapeutic applications.
